EDF released its analysis and opinion on the European Commission proposal for a non-discrimination legislation

The European Disability Forum (EDF) takes note of the proposal for a Directive based on Article 13 EC adopted by the European Commission on 2 July 2008 and recognizes that the proposal aims to address gaps in protection against discrimination against certain gaps of population, including persons with disabilities, outside the labour market.

However, EDF has also certain concerns regarding the legislative process since important areas of life have been left out of the scope of the Directive proposal.
